Donald Trump, the former president, announced on Saturday that he expects being imprisoned in connection with the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation next week and called for protests as New York police authorities get ready for a potential prosecution.

The “major Republican politician and former president of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” Trump wrote on social media, referring to himself.

Daniels and Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, are among the witnesses testifying before a grand jury.
